Babel 2013 – Youth Exchange project in France
Do you want to spend 15 unforgettable days in Nancy, France? Are you interested in making films and intercultural communication? Do you speak English fluently and like working in a team?
You can be part of “Babel 2013” – an european film project for young people, taking place from 26.08 to 09.09.2013 in Nancy – we are looking for participants!
Focused on the research of film acting and on the problematic of intercultural communication in directing films, this project will consist in creating filmed performances about tolerance and mutual understanding, inspired by the Tower of Babel’s myth. The results of these workshops will be shown at the end of the project to the people of Nancy. There will be in all 25 young Europeans aged from 18 to 30 years old who will live and work together for 15 days. They will come from Germany, Ukraine, Turkey, Armenia and France.
The Association Aye Aye V.O. in Nancy is the project’s organizer, Kultur Aktiv e.V. is the german partner in the project.
There will be three workshops. You should be interested in one of the three workshops. The teams will be made during the project (mixed teams with different nationalities).
- Screenplay writing
- Acting and filming
- Finalizing, editing
Conditions for participating:
- Age: 18-25, one of the participants can be older (26-30)
- currently living in Germany
- You should be interested in group working and be aware of all the conditions for participating in the project.
- 30% of the travel costs you have to pay (50-70 EUR from Dresden)
- Programme, accommodation and board are for free
