DESCRIPTION:As the men pose in front of Valery Poshtarov's camera\, father 
 and son hold hands for the first time in years\, sometimes decades. It is 
 a powerful moment that is often accompanied by hesitation or even resistan
 ce. At the same time\, the portraits from Bulgaria\, the Caucasus\, the Ba
 lkans and Italy provide a deep insight into the relationship between these
  family members.\n\nValery Poshtarov was born in Bulgaria in 1986. He comp
 leted his studies at Varna's National High School of Arts and at the Sorbo
 nne in Paris. He attracted attention early on with a nomination for the Ca
 rtier-Bresson Prize. In 2011\, Valery founded the first online art gallery
  in Eastern Europe. His work has already been shown in Europe\, Asia and A
 ustralia.\n\nCuration: Simon Wolf\n\n\n\nA satellite exhibition of the POR
 TRAITS - Hellerau Photography Awards 2024 in the gallery nEUROPA.\n\n\n\nD
