DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to present the renowned Georgian photographer 
 Yuri Mechitov once again at the Galerie nEUROPA. For many years\, Mechitov
  accompanied the career of the influential and controversial Soviet direct
 or Sergei Parajanov with his camera. He created milestones in Soviet film 
 history with films such as “The Shadows of Our Forgotten Ancestors” an
 d “The Color of Pomegranates”. The photographer's collaboration and fr
 iendship with Parajanov resulted in an impressive photographic biography o
 f the director. On Saturday\, September 21\, 2024\, Yuri Mechitov will giv
 e a lecture on the topic “What does it mean to be a genius?” in refere
 nce to Sergei Parajanov.
