When the seminar took place In Ulyanovsk, I had the reverse task &#8211; to find traces of Armenian culture in the Russian town. Little research and I realized what I wanted to do. According to various media publications, I learned that an Armenian church is being built in Ulyanovsk. According to various estimates, there are between 10 and 12 million Armenians living in the world, with only 3 million living in Armenia. The most Armenians, almost 2 million, live in Russia. Accordingly, the Armenian community in Ulyanovsk is relatively small with around 12.000 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Delicate handmade work was done by two Armenian masters: Suren and Matvey. They are from the third largest city of Armenia &#8211; Vanadzor. Work in Ulyanovsk is seasonal for them, it stops during rain and snow. It is noteworthy that they have a great experience in building an Armenian church in Russia. Another one stands, for example, in Nizhny Novgorod. The Armenian church in Ulyanovsk is situated in the park, next to the Pushkarevsky ring.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p of the visit to the church there was a special ceremony &#8211; Matah &#8211; a traditional charitable sacrifice in Armenia. The main meaning of the Matah is a gift to God, through a donation of alms to the poor.
