Brochure<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Between high-rise buildings and villas, between parks and gardens, on the asphalt of the streets and on the trampling paths through the neighbourhood, we were out and about and met an incredible number of people who are committed to shaping coexistence in the neighbourhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We wanted to know: Who are these people?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were the lone warriors who organised a backyard party, large associations that initiate long-term projects and create entire neighbourhood houses, but also the small initiatives that would like to see more people join in and still do great things. We got to know people who are handing over the baton to younger people after many years of commitment. And we met young people who are starting projects full of enthusiasm. And even those who haven’t lived here that long are busy helping to shape things. From Caf\u00e9 Halva to the Ukrainian sewing caf\u00e9 group, you can discover exciting projects on both sides of the Elbe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

District walks<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Only those who move can change their point of view or perspective – in space and in the mind! That’s exactly why we set off on foot through different districts of Dresden. Sometimes it can be a tour of the district’s history, other times we get to know people and their everyday lives on the spot or discover well-known and lesser-known places just around the corner. Let us surprise you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tours through the district end in a community garden, at neighbourhood initiatives or other public places that stand for “togetherness”. Here you can linger and chat and talk even more, because there are already \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2026 Conversations in the green<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

There are many meeting places, small groups, social and cultural institutions and many other places where community and commitment take place in and for the district! So we want to stop off at exactly these liveable and lovable fixed points in the neighbourhood to get to know the places better. Snacks and drinks will be provided, because coffee, cake, etc. are the best way to share stories, experiences, memories, hopes and expectations!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Workshop series “My Neighbourhood”<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In all-day workshops, individual “city views” are created: on a base area (approx. A4 size), a personal “city object” is designed, put together, rearranged. The material basis is old packaging (tetra-paks, cans, etc.), which is redesigned according to the upcycling principle. The focus is always on one’s own neighbourhood and personal living environment. Do I feel good in my neighbourhood? If so, what is special about it? If not, what does my dream neighbourhood look like? So in the workshops you can deal intensively with topics from your own life and the other stories from the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the best thing is: the finished houses, facades, squares etc. don’t just stay to themselves. The participants put theirs together into a common “city view” and present it at the end of the year as a central object at a public \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exhibition and closing party<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Here you can discover not only the “city view”, but also a selection of texts and pictures that take a look at Dresden’s neighbourhoods with all their people, initiatives and districts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
