Walk in Silence

I’m listening – a year in silence – Artist Daniel Beerstecher spends a year walking silently through Germany, devoting himself entirely to the power of listening. Through this radical performance, he invites people along his path to experience firsthand the transformative effect of silence and deep, attentive listening. The hike becomes his mobile studio, where encounters take place that create genuine connections.

Join artist Daniel Beerstecher on a meditative group hike that invites you to immerse yourself in silence and encounter nature with all your senses.

Walk silently through the landscape, slow down your mind, and expand your perception. Along the way, with the help of the talking stick, we will engage in mindful conversation with each other – without interruption, without judgment.

Experience how presence, silence, and deep listening create a new quality of connection – with yourself, with the group, and with nature. This hike is an invitation to see the world and your inner space with new eyes.

You are warmly invited to join us. Please remember to bring something to eat and, if necessary, a snack for your refreshment. Bring sturdy shoes, warm/appropriate clothing, and a good mood! Make sure you can walk slowly for 3 hours or 10 km.

What is a Walk in Silence?

A Walk in Silence is not a hike in the traditional sense.

It is an invitation to see the landscape with new eyes, to explore your own inner space—and to experience connection not through words and conversation, but through presence, silence, and mindful listening.

When we do speak, it is mindfully and from a place of silence—driven by the desire to share what is truly essential.
