Nuslätta October 2023 – Pragomania Festival & 25th Czech-German Cultural Days

For more than 15 years, we have been involved with the Pragomania Festival at the TDKT: Concerts & Partys in Neustadt and beyond.
Pragomania 2023

Dear cultural activists,

This year the Czech-German Cultural Days (TDKT) celebrate their 25th anniversary. We say: Gratulujeme! From 26 October to 12 November 2023, more than 90 events will take place in the Elbe/Labe Euroregion. The motto in the anniversary year is »Breaks« and takes a look, sometimes implicitly, sometimes explicitly, at the changes both in the “big story” and in the lives of individuals – e.g. the 30th anniversary of the separation of the Czech Republic and Slovakia or other upheavals that reach into the present or are still ahead of us.

Pragomania at TDKT

For more than 15 years, we have been involved with the Pragomania Festival at the TDKT: Concerts & Partys in Neustadt and beyond, which we lovingly put on in cooperation with various Dresden clubs. Pragomania connects relevant actors from the cultural sector – artists, live acts and DJs, organisers and clubs – across national, border and scene boundaries.

New format, new locations

This year, a completely new format is celebrating its premiere: as a prelude to Pragomania, on 27 October there will be a combination of typical Czech cuisine, Pilsen beer and musical entertainment – also from Pilsen – at the Czech Evening at Rausch. Friends of garagey guitar sounds and dark synths are in the right place at Get Your Head Perfumed #11, when Czech and German bands make the concert cellar at riesa efau sweat in November. – Meanwhile, the Becherovka Ska Night is taking an artistic break. We’re even more excited about Club Paula’s debut with a kitchen rave featuring the finest drum’n’bass from this side and the other side of the Erzgebirge.

Everything else about the Pragomania Festival can be found on our website.

Ahoj and many greetings from Dresden Neustadt!

PS: On 9 September, not only did the Federal President invite us to the annual Citizens’ Festival at Bellevue Palace in Berlin – the Citizens’ Festival was also “The Festival”, or more precisely: the 25th anniversary of the German-Czech Future Fund. Among others, Culture-Clash, a Czech-German jazz trio that combines traditional Moravian cymbal music with influences from jazz, free jazz and improvised music, was there. Prepared in cooperation between Unijazz Prague and Kultur Aktiv e.V. at the Czech-German Jazz Manufaktur at the Boskovice 2023 Festival, Culture-Clash was Project of the Month at the German-Czech Future Fund in August. The next live date will take place as part of the TDKT in Dresden: 12 November – Culture Clash – Jazz-Zymbal concert at the Festispielhaus Hellerau.
