“No Money for Culture?” Neues Handbuch zum Download bere

Over two years our project „Music Without Borders“ was running and aimed to build bridges between local cultural administrations and music orientated civil society institutions at the Balkans. Under the roof of Dresden based NGO Kultur Aktiv study visits, workshops and conferences with the partners from Croatia, Serbia and Macedonia were hold. Especially the Saxonian way of reforms in the cultural sector, which is also exemplary in Germany nowadays, caused many discussions among experts from the Balkans and Saxony.

One result of this project is the compendium “Money for Culture? Finding ways to organise culture in countries in transition – A Compendium for NGOs and Public Administration”. It summarizes common problems and shows possible solutions. The digital compendium is available for free MWB-Compendium for institutions accompanying transition processes in Southern and Eastern Europe.

The compendium was funded by the European Union, the State of Saxony, Robert Bosch Stiftung, and kindly supported by the Amt für Kultur und Denkmalschutz der Landeshauptstadt Dresden and the Abteilung für Europäische und Internationale Angelegenheiten.
