Background

Since fall 2022, Yuliya Firsova, a teacher from Odessa, has been inviting people to the Sewing Café at the nEUROPA gallery. Together with other women who have fled Ukraine, she has created a place where they can relax, talk, sing, share their problems, and experience support and warmth.

The project is funded by the State Ministry for Social Affairs and Social Cohesion. This measure is co-financed with tax revenue based on the budget approved by the Saxon State Parliament as part of the  »Wir für Sachsen«  funding programme.
