Díry / Holes – Atlas Cargo Bike Tour 2025

Janov - Děčín - Dresden // To mark the closure of the ČSA opencast lignite mine, the clown Atlas will tour northern Bohemia and Saxony.

Díry / LÖCHER – Cargo Bike Tour 2025

Atlas loves holes, and there are many of them in this region. He also loves stories, and there are many of those too: stories of villages on the edge of the abyss, of perspectives and fears about the future, and of jobs.

What remains when the ground is undermined?
Where do the holes lead?
To the center of the earth?
To the origin of gravity?

In the spirit of green travel, Atlas will spend two weeks with local residents, talking to Czech and German experts about a just transition and local development, traveling around on a cargo bike. He will then compile a pop-up exhibition based on all his encounters and experiences, which he will present in Dresden.

tYhle

tYhle is a collective of Czech and French artists based in the Czech Republic. It sees itself as a platform for performance, dance, physical theater, and visual arts and was founded by four young artists who share the same vision for the contemporary scene: the duty to experiment and break down barriers.

The collective was founded in Brno in 2015, after performers Lukáš Karásek and Florent Golfier had already been working together for three years. Later, lighting designer Zuzana Režná and scenographer and choreographer Marie Gourdain joined the group.

The name “tYhle” is inspired by Generation Y. The letter Y can also be interpreted as a meeting point for different lines, directions, inspirations, and backgrounds.

One of tYhle’s goals is to build bridges between the two cultures.
