In 2019, filmmaker Javier Sobremazas, who lives in Dresden, went on a journey of discovery to the Balkans – always in search of musicians. The result is the half-hour documentary Balkan Beasts, a short portrait of the two underground rock bands Shlem from Kosovo and YÖU from Skopje, North Macedonia. The film will be shown to the public for the first time.
