Exhibition of detailed patchwork

Our memory is a place of memories. It is like a mosaic, a colourful patchwork with bright dots and dark spots. Since autumn 2022, Yuliya Firsova, a teacher from Odesa, has been inviting people to the sewing café at the nEUROPA gallery. Primarily women who have fled Ukraine come together once a week to craft and talk. The hand-sewn patchwork works that have been created since then tell their very own stories.

Open gallery – what is it?

In our gallery Galerie nEUROPA we not only present exhibitions of contemporary photographers with a connection to Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, but the space is also open for open meetings, coffee rounds, games evenings, workshops, seminars, think tanks, and so on.
