The programme is kept completely open. Whether it’s a workshop, a games evening, a coffee round or a theme café – Café Kulturschock provides a place for chattering and get to know new people. We are looking for hosts who would like to take charge of the programme for one or more evenings.
Perhaps you have already noticed? For some time now, our photo-gallery Galerie nEUROPA has become an Open Gallery several times a week, a place for creativity and encounters. Currently, the Ukrainians Victoria and Yulia offer the weekly courses “Art and Meditation” and “Sewing Café”.
Culture shocks in everyday life. To understand, you need understanding.
Again and again, Ukrainians come to us looking for a place where they can talk undisturbed and also learn to talk about and understand things that seem to be quite different in others. Or simply to try out how to express something in German.
Open meeting – chat, drink coffee, play, get creative and and and …
From March 2023, we therefore invite you to Café Kulturschock. The open meetings are to be based entirely on your ideas and wishes! Whether it’s a workshop, games evening, coffee round, theme café or simply a place for chattering and get to know new people.
First dates are already fixed:
- 09.03. and 23.03.2023, both 6 – 8 p.m.
- It’s planned to offer the format on Thursdays every two weeks.
We are looking for volunteer hosts

In our gallery Galerie nEUROPA we not only present exhibitions of contemporary photographers related to Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, but the room is also available for open meetings, coffee rounds, game nights, workshops, seminars, think tanks, etc.
