Review of Winterreisen 2026

From January to March, we met every Tuesday evening at the Veränderbar, where we were transported to different corners of the world. Now that the 2026 Winterreisen have come to an end, we fondly look back on the lovely evenings spent in good company, sharing exciting stories, interesting facts, and colourful pictures of faraway places.

Together, we travelled by car, train or bicycle through a variety of countries, gaining fascinating insights into the nature and culture of places such as Georgia, Kazakhstan and Albania. Each talk provided a welcome distraction from the cold, grey Dresden winter.

Thank you to the visitors who took part, listened and asked questions; thank you to all the speakers who took us on their journeys and told us about their adventures; and thank you to everyone who helped make this possible.

Thanks also to artderkultur e.V., which provided us with an event space at the Veränderbar once again this year. A special thank you goes to our federal volunteer Enna, who hosted several trips and even gave a talk on her own! Finally, a huge thank you to our member Christian, who organised and hosted this year’s Winterreisen so well!
