Macedonia, the most southern of the former Yugoslavian republics, is hardly focused by middle European photographic interest. The exhibition MACEDONIAN PHOTO CLUB, presenting the works of four photographers at the gallery NEUE OSTEN, is supposed to change that a little.
Macedonia is smaller than the state of Brandenburg. It is located at a highly interesting region that has created characters like Alexander the Great or Mother Therese. Today, more that 20 years after the collapse of Yugoslavia, it is still looking for its own identity.
