For the second time, cultural activists have set out for the Boskovice Festival. Picturesquely situated in a nature reserve, you wouldn’t expect to find a festival in this small town. But this is also due to the good integration of the stages into the urban space. Whether it’s punk in the courtyard of the manor house, jazz in the orangery, rock in the incredible monstrous summer cinema or a DJ set in the tent on the hill just below the castle ruins.
The musical part is framed by art installations in the Jewish quarter, poetry slam or yoga, exhibitions and a comprehensive film programme. And if the hustle and bustle gets too much for you, you can slip away into the small alleyways of the Jewish quarter with its oddball antiquarian bookshop and its pubs.
The German-Czech jazz stage already has a good tradition at the festival. So we are pleased that Kultur Aktiv could contribute to the success of the musical encounters as a cooperation partner. Preparations are underway for a small aftertaste of the festival to be experienced in Dresden as well.
And: make a note of the second weekend in July for next year. That’s when the Boskovice Festival will take place again. We are looking forward to welcoming you!
Die Veranstaltung wird gefördert durch den Deutsch-Tschechischen Zukunftsfonds.
