Turkey

The Lycian Way runs along the western tip of the Lycian Peninsula (today’s Teke) through the Taurus Mountains. Currently, the total length of the trail is about 540 km. The locals in ancient times christened their region Lycia – the land of light. Those who trek here understand why this region was so named. There is incredible diversity here: archaic ruins, the most scenic hiking trails in the world and steep mountains, authentic customs, the hospitality of the locals, wild beaches for swimming, fruit straight from the trees and now Russians in exile.
