River hikes on the right bank of the Elbe
Although I am incurably addicted to mountains, I am also very fond of hiking along rivers. This is because natural and cultural spaces open up along the river valleys in a unique way. Since 2020, I have been hiking along the rivers on the right bank of the Pulsnitz, Wesenitz, Große Röder, Schwarze Elster, Promnitz and Prießnitz in very long hikes. This has resulted in a network of discovery trails through the wider eastern and northern environs of Dresden with many places, stories and, in general, a lot of slowing down in nature.
