Since 2007, one to three volunteers have been involved in a European Voluntary Service at Kultur Aktiv every year. As a host organisation, we have so far worked with sending organisations and selected project partners who are active in the fields of cultural and youth work in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and the Balkans. Our international volunteers also support us in local and international projects, especially those from their home countries. They are also encouraged to develop and implement their own project ideas.
In principle, ESC is open to young people between the ages of 18 and 30. A twelve-month assignment as a European volunteer usually begins in October. The areas of assignment and training opportunities are the same as for volunteers from the Bundesfreiwilligendienst programme.
