Democracy – self-empowerment – human rights
Dresden’s scientific and cultural institutions under the umbrella of DRESDEN-concept e.V. and the alliance #WOD – Weltoffenes Dresden invite you to participate in 4 star parades to a festival of democracy (3 to 6 pm) on Saturday, 25 May 2024 on Dresden’s Altmarkt. The star parades will start at Wettiner Platz, Fritz-Förster-Platz, Sachsenplatz and Jorge-Gomondai-Platz.
Meet us at the central event on the Altmarkt! Together with riesa efau and the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen (SKD), we are offering a screen printing workshop for children and families!

Screen printing workshop
Against each other – next to each other – with each other – for each other? Which world do you want to live in? Everywhere we see messages on posters, billboards and banners vying for people’s favour – and not just in election campaigns.
We want to share experiences: in different phases of life, in different places and in different societies. What have you experienced? Where do you see yourself today and where do you see yourself in the future?
Why not develop your own message?
In this workshop, we want to use art to express our own personal vision for shaping society. Artist and printing expert Moussa Mbarek will show us the screen printing process.
Become a DIY artist now and design your own self-made poster! We will help you to develop a personalised language and image message. Get creative with personalised motifs, symbols and shapes!
