Writing workshop “Mosaic of languages”
Everyone knows idioms and proverbs, regardless of their origin. These short phrases are a cultural asset that has often been passed down through many generations. They show how many things different cultures have in common and can teach us a lot about the lives of others.
What connects people more than shared experiences, for example at a street party, in a neighbourhood café or at the cultural club around the corner?
Our illustrator Rosa Brockelt invites you to get to know proverbs from all over the world and tell your own personal stories about them. Together with the visitors of the ABC tables of the Umweltzentrum Dresden e.V., we will create a ‘mosaic of languages’, write and illustrate small word pictures and talk about what unites or divides us linguistically.
We cordially invite you to take part in the ‘Mosaic of Languages’. Everyone is welcome and can become part of the mosaic. Whether drawn or written, we are curious.
The event is organised in cooperation with the ABC-Tische / Umweltzentrum Dresden e.V.
