Are you interested in culture and project work? Would you like to gain new experience in organizing projects or contribute your own expertise? Then you’ve come to the right place.

Kultur Aktiv is a nonprofit organization based in Dresden’s Neustadt district. Since 2002, we have been developing and carrying out a wide variety of art and culture related projects. Geographically, our focus is on Dresden and Eastern Europe.

Starting in October 2026, we are offering a position in the Federal Volunteer Service!

For 12 months (30 hours per week; fewer hours are also possible by arrangement), you’ll be part of the cultural activists’ group and gain comprehensive insight into the cultural work of an organization.

What are your tasks?

  • Focus: Press and Public Relations
  • Social media (Instagram, Facebook), content creation (posts, videos)
  • Website (CMS, WordPress)
  • Newsletter
  • graphic design and layout work (flyers, posters, post images, etc.)
  • participation in team meetings and project discussions

What should you bring?

  • a passion for culture and intercultural exchange
  • openness, creativity, communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team are among your strengths
  • experience with (your own) social media accounts
  • experience with graphic design and video editing software
  • proficiency in common Office programs (Excel and Word)
  • very good German and English skills
  • You must be at least 18 years old
