Nuslätta July 2026 – 35 bridges, 2 countries, your summer with us!

Dear cultural activists,

Just imagine: you’re sitting on a bike, the wind blowing in your face, and ahead of you lies a route full of history, culture and encounters.

That’s exactly what awaits 16 young adults in September as part of our new project:

35 Bridges – 35 Years of the Neighbourhood Treaty

To mark the 35th anniversary of the German-Polish Neighbourhood Treaty, we are organising a five-day, binational educational cycling tour along the Lusatian Neisse and the Oder. From 8 to 12 September 2026, we’ll bring the transformation from former division to a shared European space for encounters to life. We’ll explore 35 historic bridge sites – from impressive monuments to forgotten ruins.

Are you (or someone you know) aged between 18 and 26, keen on international exchange and in possession of a roadworthy bike? Then don’t waste any time! The application deadline is 20 July 2026.

Want to discover even more culture, play an active part in shaping the programme and unravelling Eastern Europe? You’ll find all the latest news for June in this newsletter!
