Intercultural Days 2026

Under the motto "Many languages. One home." the 36th Intercultural Days will take place in Dresden from September 20 to October 11, 2026.

The Intercultural Days offer space for encounters, exchange and opportunities to gain new perspectives, learn from each other, break down one’s own prejudices and thus enrich social interaction in the long term.

Our events as part of Intercultural days

A home lives from the voices that fill it. The Intercultural Days create space for encounters, exchanges and new perspectives. They promote mutual learning, break down prejudices and strengthen social interaction in Dresden.

The key topics for 2026 are:

  • Living linguistic diversity.
  • Have your say. Shaping on site.
  • Clear the stage: Art of diversity.
  • Living exchange. Sharing stories.
  • Approach each other. Learning from each other. Creating encounters.

Why are there Intercultural Days in Dresden?

Dresden is a diverse and cosmopolitan city. With the Intercultural Days, we want to emphasise this diversity and promote mutual understanding between all residents, regardless of their appearance, origin or religion. With the help of numerous events, the aim is to create opportunities for encounters and joint organisation, to create cooperation at eye level and to strengthen the reduction of prejudices. The Intercultural Days offer numerous actors from Dresden the opportunity to present themselves and their offers and thus preserve the openness and diversity of Dresden.
