Do you know the CLUB PASSAGE?
Seit 2005 ist der CLUB PASSAGE ein Standort derOpened on 15 April 1986 as the “Wohngebietsklub Gorbitz”, the club was given its current name in the same year and has since become a permanent fixture as a cultural institution for the approx. 20,000 residents of the district and beyond. The CLUB PASSAGE has been a location of JugendKunstschule Dresden since 2005.
It offers a wide range of events for all age groups:
Arthouse cinema
Concerts and cabaret in a club atmosphere
Children’s programmes (media education, puppet theatre, school cinema, etc.)
Courses and workshops
Changing exhibitions
Participation opportunities for citizens
Do you know the GEH8?
GEH8 Kunstraum & Ateliers is a non-profit organisation for the promotion of contemporary art in Dresden. Founded in 2007 as a studio community of artists, architects, designers and urban planners in a former Deutsche Bahn carriage repair workshop, GEH8 has developed into an important production and presentation venue for contemporary art.
Here, people:
work and exhibit in one place – 300 square metres of exhibition space, 10 studios
Art seen in a social context – citizen participation, culture-led urban development
Interdisciplinarity is practised – visual arts, music, dance, literature, philosophy, science, performing arts
International exchange cultivated – contacts, networks, co-operations
Experimental space created
Since May 2020, there has also been the refreshingly sociable and pleasantly unconventional GEH8-Ateliercafé in the GEH8 summer garden.
In addition to proven local heroes like the UKRAINIENS, SEAU VOLANT andJU VON DÖLZSCHEN, we are also breaking new ground with a (female) hip hop-heavy booking: ÄLICE is coming to Elbflorenz from the partner city of Hamburg and has been causing a stir and controversy for many years, especially with her band CHEFBOSS, setting new standards for German-language dancehall & hip hop. With her very own originality and energetic rhythms, she positions herself consistently and tongue-in-cheek against sexism and homophobia. Similarly stored, but at home in Dresden: the great La Rey. – In the spirit of equality, JOCA & FRANZMANN from NEUSTÄDTER HARZ will also be performing.
As always, there will also be a supporting programme for little big ones and big little ones. This year with the magical nanny Miss Hopkins and the song stories of Firlefanz and Grete.
Same same
Admission is still free.
But different
Bad weather variant: We have an indoor variant for BOTH locations, so that we are also on the safe side in case of rain – We will play longer this year, until approx. 21:00 – A necessary pre-registration as well as admission restriction as last year is omitted.
Please! Please! Please!
We have the great fortune and privilege of being able to place a stage directly in the neighbourhood, for which we are especially grateful to Club Passage and the guys and gals from GEH8. – To the left and right, in front and behind, people live everywhere. Please behave as quietly as possible, especially when leaving, and ALWAYS follow the announcements of our security. – This is elementary for another 6th year in 2023.
Fête goes mobile! The context
The Fête de la Musique has long been known and loved beyond the borders of France. The basic idea of the event is simple: music – free and outdoors – the more diverse, the better, as is traditionally said worldwide on 21 June. The Fête also has its place in Dresden: since 2016, Kultur Aktiv e.V. has organised the open-air “Fête de la Musique meets Europe” on Dresden’s Neumarkt together with the state capital Dresden and the Institut français Dresden. In 2021, when everything was different, a special edition held the music festival “Fête macht mobil! The open air on your doorstep” took place in Dresden’s neighbourhoods: Even more decentralised, even more mobile, with local and international acts, for young and old – in the spirit of the Fête de la Musique. Newly conceived for Dresden’s citizens and visitors, the two-day festival brought local acts and a musical surprise from Dresden’s twin city of Strasbourg directly to the doorsteps of residents on Friday, 10 September 2021 on the grounds of GEH8 (Pieschen) and on Saturday, 11 September 2021 on the forecourt of the Prohlis Centre.
After the great response, we want to continue on this path consistently in 2022!
«Fête macht mobil! – Das Open-Air vor deiner Haustür» wird organisiert von Kultur Aktiv e.V. in Kooperation mit dem Institut français Dresden, Eurometropole Straßburg, JugendKunstschule Dresden und GEH8 Kunstraum und Ateliers e.V.
Das Projekt wird gefördert durch das Amt für Kultur und Denkmalschutz der Landeshauptstadt Dresden. Gefördert von der Beauftragten der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien.
