We have more in common with some neighbours, less with others. Some went to the same school, others not only speak a different language but also write in a different script. With artistic support, you can immerse yourself in a foreign language at a calligraphy workshop and experience how lines and curves are put together to form a new alphabet and what is hidden behind the letter world of your neighbours.
Calligraphy workshop – we’re going to India!
In this 3-hour workshop, artist Prajakta Patil will introduce the diverse linguistic landscape of India, describe the Devanagari alphabet and practise the basics of Indian calligraphy with you.
