Hanne Lange (Sebnitz 1983), studied at the HfbK Dresden (diploma 2018) and was a master student of Martin Honert. She explores and analyses the various mechanisms of her perception of reality and attempts to make this process clear through what is highlighted. In doing so, she transfers details from everyday life, fleeting observations or reflections into a tangible, even sometimes measurable structure. In the process, workflow and thoughts meet each other, the initial impulse is still visible, but emancipates itself from a formal aesthetic point of view. Between visibility and invisibility, she creates a space that obliges viewers to search for traces and at the same time invites them to explore the subjective shift of perception.
Her work was recently exhibited in Dresden, Berlin, Rotterdam and Milan. 2020 Hanne Lange was supported by the artist in residence program of the Goetheinstitute and the city of Dresden in Rotterdam and had been on the Shortlist for the Caspar David Friedrich Preis in 2019.
