Dear cultural activists,
Solidarity begins where people truly connect with one another. That’s exactly the kind of space we’re creating with „Focus on Solidarity – closely connected“ in Dresden. Through discussion groups, creative workshops, and open meetings, stories are shared, experiences become visible, and new connections are enabled. People from all kinds of different backgrounds: free of charge, in various languages, and right in the heart of the city’s neighborhoods. Even though we’ve had to scale down the project due to funding cuts, the idea remains as big as ever: less distance, more togetherness, and more courage to show solidarity in everyday life.
Come to our events! Get involved and experience how exchange turns into a sense of connection!
Let’s get started with the Malteser Summer Festival (August 13), photo-embroidery workshops at Treffpunkt Prohlis (August 18 & 25) and at the ABC Tables in the Albertinum (August 27), and DIY cyanotype workshops at the “Dresden is(s)t bunt” banquet (August 31).
If you want us to be able to continue organizing such events in the future, please donate now! This is the only way we can keep supporting our local partners and keep the spirit of solidarity alive in Dresden.
Want to discover even more culture, get actively involved, and explore Eastern Europe? You’ll find all the latest news for August in this newsletter!
Best regards from Dresden’s Neustadt!
