Four decades after the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, the nEUROPA gallery is dedicating itself to one of the most formative events in recent history. The exhibition ‘Traces of an Apocalypse’ combines artistic and documentary perspectives on Chernobyl – between memory, warning and the present.
In addition to works by Ukrainian artists, it features posters by young participants in the ‘Chornobyl 40’ competition – in cooperation with the International Kharkiv Triennial ‘4th Block’.
‘Traces of an Apocalypse’ is a haunting visual report from the first zone – and an appeal not to forget the history of those who preserved their courage and humanity in 1986.
