Every Friday – 16:00 – “Loose Watercolour” workshop

Workshop leader Mahsa will show you how to get started with a special form of watercolour painting: “Loose Watercolor” means depicting the essence of a motif with as few, loose brushstrokes as possible.

Water and pigments flow and move on the paper, run, form puddles, sometimes dry faster, sometimes slower. There is no “back” button here – you have to get involved in the spontaneous flow of things and go with the flow – it’s not about perfection, not about the most photorealistic representation possible, but about the BIG PICTURE.

Try things out, be creative and above all: have fun!

Mahsa was born in Tehran/Iran and has lived and worked in Dresden for many years. As an artist and illustrator, she loves to try out different types of painting – just as the mood takes her. She is currently particularly keen on loose watercolour and lettering.
