MARKET CAFÉ on the topic: „Tailoring and sewing: GDR – today “

Remember – did you sew summer dresses at home on a Veritas machine? Vietnamese and other contract workers from the brother states of the GDR worked in the VEB textile factories or tailored studded pants (jeans) and suits “under the hand”. Today, it’s totally hip again to wear home-made clothes and hip tailor shops – e.g. in Neustadt – have many regular customers.

The market café will be accompanied by the artist Xenia Gorodnia.

Marktcafé của chúng tôi tạo cơ hội cho những cuộc nói chuyện trao đổi cởi mở vui vẻ. Có ai trong các bạn đã từng tự may ở nhà cho mình váy áo mùa hè bằng máy khâu Veritas không? Nhiều công nhân theo hiệp định chính phủ Việt nam và các nước anh em của DDR đã từng làm việc tại các nhà máy may mặc của Cộng hòa dân chủ Đức hoặc đã từng „làm ngoài giờ“ may quần jeans hay may các bộ Comple´. Ngày nay đã trở lại „Mốt“ mặc quần áo tự may lấy hay những cửa hiệu thời trang „hippe“ – chẳng hạn ở Dresden-Neustadt có nhiều khách quen của mình.
