ANDALUSIA with Peter Fischer

The renaissance for longer journeys was on the cards. Tests that no longer interested anyone at the borders on the way to Andalusia, the most populous autonomous community in Spain with an east-west extension of over 500 kilometres. Almost three eventful weeks through the temperamental, not always sunny, dry south of Spain in May 2022. From the (mini) desert of Tabernas in the east across to Cádiz in the west – many, many photos, graffiti in the footsteps of Picasso in his native city of Malaga – in a T-shirt through snow to the Pico del Veleta at almost 3. 400 m in the Sierra Nevada – flamenco fiesta in Jerez, stolen bike in Seville – swimming in the Mediterranean and Atlantic – waving across to Africa – cave houses in Guadix – white villages, which are mostly small towns like Ronda – making the car battery fit again with the solar panel…

And, as always: “Mi coche es mi castello” (or something like that), “My car is my hostel” 😉
Spending the night almost in the sea, in the forest, in the desert when it rains, in inner-city car parks.
