ostZONE continues! – In the second half of 2024, we will be offering three new screen printing workshops with Moussa Mbarek and Yulia Vishnichenko. There will also be another photo embroidery workshop with Bela Álvarez!
Personal photos or other archive images are great for creating a narrative. And with a needle and thread, you can turn any motif into a special eye-catcher. Artist Bela Álvarez will show you how to decorate photos and postcards artistically with simple embroidery stitches.
Participation is free of charge. We provide working materials. Experience does not matter.
Offline store is back!
From November 12, 2024 to January 4, 2025, the “Offline Shop – Buy or DIY” is back at Hauptstraße 42-44. The Offline Shop is an analog marketplace and temporary pop-up concept for the creative scene from Dresden and the surrounding area. On the one hand, it offers artists and creative newcomers the opportunity to present their products offline. On the other hand, it becomes a meeting place for the creative scene and interested parties.
Come by!
In the ostZONE we ask and remember together. In an exchange between generations and cultures about the past and present, we want to get to know and share experiences: intergenerational and intercultural, from former contract workers (e.g. from Vietnam or Mozambique), from people who have moved here since 1989 (e.g. from Libya or Mexico), from people from Dresden with and without a GDR background.
