Start and end at the ticket office at the lift in front of Königstein Fortress

Wismut AG was one of the largest mining companies producing uranium in the DDR. The former Königstein deposit employed about 2200 people, and two of them will tell you about their memories during a dialogue walk through Königstein. The traces of the mining are still visible in the landscape today.

The filmmaker Susanne Kontny from Leipzig presents a biographical short film made in the summer of 2021. This will be followed by a panel discussion with contemporary witnesses Ulli Nesbor & Ulli Nagler, the filmmaker and the project makers.
