Long noses do not understand

From his Chinese wife's point of view, Andreas Opfermann will never understand the subtleties of martial arts. But her initial doubts were soon shattered. Different cultures meet again and again in Dresdner Nachbarschaften.

Accidental encounters at Kunstverein

Sometimes chance helps, then you meet - unexpectedly - the right people. That was also the case in our case. It was not foreseeable that Kultur Aktiv and Kunstverein Dresden would come together. But it was clear from the first moment we met that yes, we were doing something together. About Dresdner Nachbarschaften on the Hauptstraße.

Actually, you should ring every doorbell

Encounters in the neighbourhood café

For the second time, the Dresdner Nachbarschaften will be visiting the Malteser's Prohlis meeting point, where an open neighbourhood café is held every Thursday. The regular programme includes a German regulars' table and help from the authorities, where visitors are supported in answering letters or making applications.

Crafting and listening at Montagscafé

For diverse Dresdner Nachbarschaften, the Kleine Haus has become a permanent address as a community and meeting place. This is not the first time we have been here, but it is always exciting to see who comes by on a Monday afternoon to talk, listen and do things together.
